<dc:description>Water ice is believed to have played an important role in the recent (<100 Ma) surface geology of Mars. This study focuses on Alba Patera (40°N, 250°), the summit caldera complex of Alba Mons, a volcano with a >1000 km basal diameter. Unconformable deposits lie on north-facing portions of the caldera walls. These deposits exhibit two textures: a smooth texture and a hummocky texture consisting of decameter-scale hills.</dc:description>
