Diastereo- and enantioseletive copper(II)-catalyzed intramolecular carboamination of alkenes for the synthesis of benz[f]indoles and related heterocycles

The carboamination of alkenes is a well-studied method toward the synthesis of nitrogen heterocycles. This reaction involves the concurrent formation of C-N and C-C bonds across an olefin. Recent studies involving palladium and copper catalysis have helped expand the scope of this reaction. Herein, is reported the expansion of this carboamination technology for the diastereoselective and enantioselective synthesis of benz[f]indoles and related nitrogen heterocycles.
