Advanced compact low pass filters for a modern portable spectrum analyzer system
We will present the conventional elliptic LPF design firstly and then come up with 3 varied advanced LPF sturctures, such as defected ground structure complementary split ring resonator(DGS-CSRR), inter-digital capacitor(IDC) and stepped impedance hairpin low pass filters. Each design has its unique characteristics in terms of circuit size or S parameters performances. In the end of this thesis, we also compare the advantages and disadvantages with each other and give proper discussion towards each design. This thesis offer a unique and comprehensive treatment of RF/microwave filters based on the micro-strip structure, providing a link to applications of computer-aided design tools intermediate dielectric constant value materials, and technologies.
