Since 2009, members of the University at Buffalo community have been traveling to a remote region in northeastern Tanzania in search of high-impact engagement and collaboration. What began with a chance encounter between a mother of four named Mara and two African nuns from the Mara Region of Tanzania has evolved into a multi-faceted partnership yielding exciting impacts for students, faculty and the communities they touch. Through a uniquely personal montage of perspectives and voices, readers are invited to delve into the stories, insights and reflections and consider joining the journey to discover all that is possible on Tanzania Time.
