Erin Rowley (public)
Erin M. Rowley is the Head of Science and Engineering Library Services, as well as the Engineering Librarian, at the University at Buffalo (UB) University Libraries. Prior to joining the UB Libraries faculty in November 2017, Rowley spent nearly nine years working as the head of the research team at Bureau Veritas Consumer Product Services (BVCPS), an international consumer products testing laboratory in Buffalo, N.Y. At BVCPS, she worked with engineers, technicians, sales staff and executives researching international regulations and industry standards concerning consumer product safety compliance.
Rowley's research interests include the role of librarians in engineering education, entrepreneurship and engineering education, and the importance of technical industry standards in academic libraries.
Rowley received her bachelor's in communication with a minor in business studies from SUNY Geneseo, and her master's in library and information science from the University at Buffalo.
